I have had the joy and honor of teaching yoga for 22 years. Personally, yoga has helped me be more conscious and present in my life. It has taught me to be with the whole picture of what it means to be human; love, loss, illness, aging, vulnerability, growth and change. This practice began to stabilize my injury prone body, improve my posture and helped me create a healthier relationship with myself.
My focus as a teacher is to encourage a new way of thinking, moving and inhabiting our bodies. I share these practices with an aim to empower students and increase their own personal agency on the mat and in life.
My continued studies include therapeutic effects and best practices of yoga, promoting joint health with functional movement, releasing long held patterns through somatic practices and fascia remodeling, finding ease in our bodies through natural alignment theory, and exploring a wide breadth of mind-body techniques including the I AM Method of Yoga Nidra.
I am able to teach what I love because of the wisdom, encouragement and open hearts of all of my extraordinary teachers through the years. I am here to support your well-being and welcome you as you are. I offer my commitment as a lifelong student to share what I've learned about self-care, self-compassion and how to continue to move well at every stage in life.
